Help us to turn to each other and not on each other.
Help us to make better choices.

inclusion, not exclusion

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Francis,
Another regional retreat is history and by all accounts it was fun and fruitful for all. We had wonderful speakers, great fellowship and a prayer-filled weekend. We missed everyone who was unable to attend and we wish you could have been there.
On Sunday the Regional Council met and we covered many topics.
Some of the topics discussed were:
- The creation of a website for the region (www.olrr.org)
- Start of a Yahoo! Group e-mail list
- A letter of request to Fr. Lester Bach OFM Cap, our provincial spiritual assistant, to appoint the Poor Clare’s in Great Falls to serve as spiritual assistants for the Missoula, Helena and Havre fraternities.
- Appointment of John Neumann SFO, from St. Anthony fraternity, as the head of the new Regional Youth Commission.
- The council has also been charged to create a “scholarship fund,” for lack of a better term, to find new and inventive ways to help our fellow SFOs, who might be financially strapped, to better afford the costs of attending retreats.
If you have ideas as to what you think should be on the web site please feel free to contact me and I’ll see if we can accommodate your ideas.
